Merging Creativity and Organization: My Journey in Design
My love for art and technology began early. As a child, I’d spend hours on our old IBM computer, creating cards, newsletters and other fun projects. In college, my class notes were as much works of art as they were study guides, detailed illustrations paired with perfectly typed pages. This passion for visual creativity and organization has stayed with me throughout my life.
As a mom, I often found myself frustrated by the lack of unique, personalized party supplies. So, I took matters into my own hands and began designing them myself, driven by a mix of creative energy and a desire to make celebrations feel truly special. Organization has always been second nature to me. A friend once joked that my life was color-coded and alphabetized, and honestly, they weren’t wrong! I continued to struggle to find planners that matched my own meticulous standards, so I started designing my own tools instead.
In July 2009, shortly after the birth of my first son, I began sharing my designs with friends and family. Leaving the workforce to stay home with him, I needed a creative outlet, and design became my passion project. By the time my third son arrived, I was ready to take a leap and open my Etsy shop, kreations by kristy, in 2014.
As both my family and business grew, I rebranded to seeley LANE design, a name that honors my four sons: Levi, Amos, Noah, and Ethan. They are the inspiration and heart behind everything I create!
